FAQ and Hire Information

Where am I situated 

In Basingstoke. Full address will be given at the time of booking your appointment.  Parking is available. 

What to bring with you 

Please bring your outfit and shoes (if you have them) with you so that the hat style and colour match is correct and suits you. 

Cost of Hat Hire 

The cost of hiring one of my hats or fascinators is: 

Fascinator Hire ranges between:         £20 - £30 

Hat Hire ranges between:                    £30 - £60
Payment by bank transfer or cash at the time of booking. 

Do I need to pay a deposit 

A deposit of £100 is required for Designer Hats and £50 for all other Hats. This will be refunded to you on return of the hat, provided the headpiece is not damaged and in its hat box. 

What if the headpiece gets damaged 

During the hire period it is your responsibility to safeguard the headpiece. If damage occurs then Happy Hat Hire reserves the right to withhold the deposit. In the event of damage by way of water or drink stains, dents, holes, and makeup, etc please do not attempt any repair yourself. 

If a previous hirer does not return the headpiece you have booked due to lateness or damage, Happy Hat Hire will try to find a suitable replacement, but this is not guaranteed. Liability is limited to the refund of the hire charge if an alternative is not available. 

How long can I have the headpiece for 

This will be discussed at your appointment. Hat hire is usually for a period of four days. However, this can be extended due to certain circumstances. 

When can I have the hat 

Two days before your event. We can discuss this at your appointment.
